about us
Kenny wine is the passion project of winegrowers Victoria and Andrew and their pursuit to celebrate single vineyard sites and vintage variation. Based out of their home in Clare Valley’s Auburn Sub region, they farm 1.5ha planted to Shiraz, Sangiovese and Pinot Blanc.

After completing his studies of Viticulture and Oenology at Adelaide university, Andrew moved to the Clare Valley region, stumbling upon Riesling country, working under the tutelage of Neil Pike in Polish Hill River for 11 years. Travelling back and forth to the Pfalz region of Germany, Andrew learnt the importance of vineyard expression and a passion for subregional selections was born. He holds a permanent winery placement at Weingut Gabel, allowing the couple to source grapes from the Gabel families certified organic Vineyards. The Kenny x Gabel Project wines now being imported to Australia.
Following Victoria's shift to the Clare Valley to join Andrew, she quickly took on the hunt for vineyards to work with. In 2020 the pair found a small vineyard in the Auburn sub-region and realized its potential. Taking a permaculture approach to their vineyard and gardens they have seen a return in biodiversity and vine health, now growing their own food and making their own composts to decrease inputs.
As the project evolved, Victoria and Andrew started meeting with likeminded growers, securing small parcels of fruit. In a Negociant fashion, the couple now taking fruit from three subregions in the Clare Valley, and one in the Pfalz region of Germany.
A biological farming approach is taken in their own vineyard with a focus on decreasing chemical input and rejuvenating the diversity of the vineyard and soil health. With that in mind the couple do not use herbicides, systemic fungicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers, instead incorporating the use of compost teas, cover crops and native species throughout their property. The pair feel confident in their direction, taking home the 2024 Vigneron trophy at the Young gun of wine awards, and the Rising Star at the Clare Valley hall of fame, an accolade awarded once every ten years.
In the winery a light-handed winemaking philosophy exists, so that the wines can reflect their site and personality.
